Something doesn’t make sense.
We are living in an age of unprecedented medical, scientific and technological advancement.
We’ve mapped the entire human genome.
We’ve synthesised hormones.
We’ve implanted embryos
We’ve transplanted hearts.
Yet we are sicker, fatter and more depressed than ever before. And we’re getting sicker and sicker at a younger and younger age. We’re experiencing an explosive increase in chronic diseases: asthma, autism, allergies, arthritis, obesity, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, the list goes on. They’re all increasing by the minute. Literally – by the minute.
What is going on?
Our culture pushes unhealthy choices wherever we turn. Apart from normalising – and even encouraging – the consumption of toxic amounts of fast food, sugar, artificial sweeteners, seed oils, colourings, flavourings, preservatives and emulsifiers, society also rewards unhealthy lifestyle choices: too little sleep, too much work, too little play.
At a conservative estimate, 80% of visits to the doctor could be prevented if we slept a little more, stressed a little less, moved a little more and ate a little less.
What can you do to change things?
Kickstart a new healthy culture by joining me for a NeuroSlimming weekend on 17-19 January 2020 at Elysia Wellness Retreat Hunter Valley.
Lush green gullies, spectacular sunsets, revitalising yoga classes and invigorating walks (at your chosen pace) integrate with real and reliable health information to create a transformative experience.
This will be my one and only retreat for 2020 as I am taking a 12 month sabbatical to write my new book.
